The village was founded between 1500 and 1600. There are Turkish graves dating back to 500 years in the village.

It is 7 km from Süleymanpaşa.

The economy of a village depends on agriculture and husbandry. Vegetable cultivation and greenhouse cultivation are carried out in the village.

There is a primary school in the village, but besides it cannot be used, transported education is used. The village has drinking water network, but there is no sewerage system. There is no PTT branch or PTT agency. There is no health centers and health posts. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village. There is also a grocery store, coffee shop and wedding hall in the village.

The population in 2019 is 226 people. After Tekirdağ gained the metropolitan status on December 6, 2012, all villages turned into neighborhoods.
